S/N: 05-16-05a, built during 2005 at the Anderson shop in Newbury Park, California.
The Tom Anderson Crowdster tackles one of the big technical problems with live acoustic performance - feedback at stage volumes.
Designed to replicate the sound of an acoustic guitar in situations where stage volumes are high enough to generate sometimes uncontrollable feedback, the Anderson Crowdster also provides the easy playability of a lightweight electric solidbody guitar.
Featuring the well-known combination of a flame maple top on a cutaway, chambered mahogany body, with a bolt-on mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and ebony bridge, the Anderson Crowdster is also built and licensed for the Buzz Feiten tuning system. The bridge contains an L R Baggs piezo pickup system with Anderson tuned EQ.
This Anderson Crowdster example dates to 2005 and is in excellent condition. It is strung with phosphor bronze strings and set up like an acoustic guitar with relatively low action. The original hardshell case is included.
