This is very, very nice, a near new condition Gibson ES-137 3U or 'Custom' model built during September, 2007 and featuring bound neck and head, gold hardware, split diamond inlays and Varitone!

The Gibson ES-137 was launched in 2002 and combines the looks of the ES-175 and the performance practicalities of the ES-335 lineup. The body shape is very much like the ES-175, but the body is a thinline style with a solid center block. There have been a few variants, but only the ES-137 Classic is still in production. The Gibson ES-137 Custom or ES-137-3U as specified on the label adds in a bound ebony fingerboard with split-diamond mother of pearl position markers, bound headstock as on models like the ES-355 and Les Paul Custom, gold plated hardware, and a varitone.

This example dates to September 18 2007 and was built at the Gibson Nashville plant. For that, it is pretty much as new as it can get. The sharp-eyed may notice that the pickup selector toggle switch tip is 'missing' in the photo; this is because these guitar ship with the tip in the case, and it's still there. There is a small amout of finish crackling on the rear of the heel where it meets the binding. Otherwise this guitar is in pristine condition. The original Gibson hardshell case is included, and contains the original documentation, certificate of authenticity, truss rod wrench and switch tip. There is some dust on the case, but it is in great condition.
