S/N: 017580554, dates to June 24, 2008 at the Gibson Nashville plant.
Introduced in 2003, the Gibson Les Paul Supreme sits at the top of the Les Paul lineup, with bookmatched, carved maple top and back and custom inlays.

Unlike all other Les Paul models, the Gibson Les Paul Supreme has carved maple caps for both the top and back, but still has the traditional mahogany body core, chambered for weigth reduction and resonance. Similar to the Les Paul Custom, the neck is mahogany with an Ebony fingerboard (current models use Richlite), but the Les Paul Supreme has an inlay set specific to this guitar. The bound headstock sports a Mother of Pearl Globe inlay with a banner engraved 'Supreme'. The fingerboard inlays are split-block Mother of Pearl. Hardware is naturally all gold plated.

This excellent example of the Gibson Les Paul Supreme dates to June 24, 2008 and was built at the Gibson Nashville plant. It is in excellent condition with only the lightest of wear. The cherry sunbutrst finish is very clean, and because it's a fairly thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, it shows off the natural ridging of the curls in the maple top and back - you can see this rippling in reflected light. The original hardshell case is included.

On a technical note, the Gibson Les Paul Supreme doesn't have the access plates usually found on the back of a Les Paul. To service the electronics, the output jack plate is oversized, allowing controls to be fed in or out.
