Here's a real beauty - from 2009, a very good condition Gibson Byrdland with rounded venetian cutaway.

A shorter scale guitar on a full width but thinline archtop body, the Gibson Byrdland was originally a custom order for two Nashville session players, Billy Byrd and Hank Garland. Byrd and Garland wanted a session-quality guitar that made big chords and fast changes easier, and they got it. The design was so successful that it became a catalog item in 1955.

The Byrdland has a carved spruce top, and 2 1/4 inch wide thin flame maple sides and a carved flame maple back. The neck is maple with ebony for the fingerboard, headplate and bridge base. The hardware is gold plated; the pickups are '57 Classic models and the wiring is traditional Gibson.

This instrument is in extremely good condition, as is its original case. There are no dings, and no visible fretwear.
