Very popular with singer/songwriters, folk and country artists as well as players of many other genres, the D-28 features a Sitka Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck and ebony for the 25.5 inch scale fingerboard and bridge.
These guitars are designed to be played; Sitka spruce is chosen because its strength and stiffness retains tonal clarity when played vigorously. They fit perfectly into band situations where things could get loud and the guitar still has to cut through and be clear.
Built during the second half of 2012 at the historic C. F. Martin shop in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, this Martin D-28 standard is in very good condition. It has been played and there are a few small marks on the top and play wear on the pickguard, and very light wear on the back finish. The original case is included.
