The Hummingbird is built with a Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, and rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge.
Of course, the Gibson Hummingbird features a hand-painted pickguard; these are done by one staff member at Gibson.
On these modern Gibson Acoustic models, an LR Baggs pickup system is factory installed, the nut and saddle are Tusq, and the tuners are Grover Roto-Matics.
The Gibson Hummingbird seen here dates to May 16, 2014 and was built at the Gibson Acoustic plant in beautiful Bozeman, Montana. It is in excellent condition, and has a warm, full sound with rich overtones that go very well with a voice. This guitar is very comfortable to play, with a narrower 60's profile neck. I like this guitar a lot.
The original Gibson case is included.
