The Harp Guitar appeared around the end of the 19th century, and one of the main designs was built for the Dyer company of St. Paul, Minnesota.
Scott Holloway has been interested in harp guitars since seeing the late Michael Hedges in the late 1980's. In 2014, he expanded his shop in South Pasadena, California, to produce more of the Dyer style instruments.
This Holloway Dyer Style 5B harp guitar is in good working order and was built in 2015. The top is spruce, the body and neck are mahogany, with ebony for the fingerboard and bridge. The original rectangular hardshell case is included.
