Douglas Harrison GB Custom Blister Maple SOLD

Douglas Harrison has been building custom guitars and basses since the 1980's, and since the early 1990's has focused on original archtop and thinline archtop designs such as the Harrison GB Custom, originally built for the late Gary Benson, a very well known and highly respected jazz guitarist.

This new Harrison GB Custom is built with a hand carved and braced blister maple top, and mahogany for the back, sides and neck, with macassar ebony for the fingerboard, tailpiece, bridge and peg head face. The lower bout is 14.25 inches so this is a very comfortable body design. The finish is a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer sunburst.

A Lindy Frailin humbucker provoides the electonics, with volume and tone controls plus a series-parallel push-pull switch on the tone control. The tuning gears are by Gotoh

The scale length is 25 inches with 1.75 inch nut width.

A custom Ameritage hardshell case, with Harrison logo, is included.
