Neck Two-piece mahogany neck with maple center strip. Bound rosewood fingerboard with block markers.
Frets 14 frets to body, 20 in total. Frets are in reasonable shape but flat and with some wear in low positions..
Body Carved spruce top, maple back and sides. Top, back and F-holes are bound.
Finish Original sunburst lacquer finish.
Hardware/electronics Original Guild humbuckers. Master volume and pickup switch on cutaway, two volumes, two tones. Original Guild tuners (probably made by Schaller). Rosewood bridge and saddle, Guild harp tailpiece.
Playability/Action There is some wear but this guitar plays pretty well.
Case
Comments Guild made many great working guitars, and this is an example. Spruce tops are unusual on archtops outside of the high-end range, and have a presence, snap and fullness not available with laminates.
