1993 Marc Beneteau 00 Guitar SOLD

Comments Marc Beneteau has been building guitars for decades and for quite some time now has been building from his home in the St. Thomas area, in southeastern Ontario.

Cleanly built, with a very well balanced tone, this 1993 Marc Beneteau 00 guitar is a good example of his work. It offers good representation throughout the sonic range with full but not overpowering bass, rich midrange, and sparkling highs.

Serial Number 060993, built during 1993 at Marc Beneteau’s shop in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada.
Pricing $2,500.00 Canadian with case. SOLD
Neck Mahogany neck with unbound rosewood fingerboard. The position markers are on the edge of the fingerboard. Rosewoood head plate and heel cap. The neck joint uses a bolted tenon design, which makes the inevitable – but definitely not on the horizon now – neck reset much easier than traditional glued dovetail design.
Frets Original narrow frets with minor wear, particularly in the lower positions.
Body Traditional 00-size body design, with Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides and satinwood binding. Rosewood bridge, and the maple bridge plate is in good shape with no chipping. A clear pickguard has been added to the top. There are a couple of small dings in the top.
Finish Original satin finish in good condition.
Hardware/electronics Original hardware – bone nut and saddle, gotoh tuners. An undersaddle pickup has been added and the battery mount is accessible through the soundhole, and an endpin jack is used. A strap pin has been added to the heel as well.
Playability/Action This guitar plays quite well and the 00 body size provides a comfortable playing experience, along with a rich and very well balanced tone.
Case SKB molded case included.
