Comments Today we have a 2001 Jose Ramirez Elite 1a Traditional. The 1a Traditional model is the top of the range for Ramirez guitars, and the Elite version uses the highest quality materials available.

This model features a lovely Brazilian rosewood back and sides paired with a red cedar top. It’s very warm, open and responsive.

The instrument is in good shape with a couple of small marks that do not affect playability or structural integrity.

Serial Number 117, built during 2001 at the Calle de la Paz workshop in Madrid, Spain.

Neck Honduran Cedar neck with ebony stiffener; ebony fingerboard, 650mm scale length and 52mm nut width.
Frets Original frets with no appreciable wear.
Body 1a Traditional body with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Red Cedar top. The sides use the exclusive Ramirez lamination method – the inside has a layer of cypress to add stiffness to the side and clarity to the tone. Rosewood binding with ‘rope’ purfling, rosewood bridge.
Finish Gloss lacquer finish in very good condition.
Hardware/electronics Rogers tuners with gold plating and pearlescent buttons; these tuners are very smooth and accurate. Bone nut and saddle.
Playability/Action Plays very well and cleanly, with a full voice. The action is currently set to 11/64ths inch bass, 8/64ths on the treble side.
Case Original black hardshell case included.
