The Guild D-55 was introduced in 1968 and is known not just for its looks but for its full, rich, balanced sound. This is really worth looking at and listening to if you’re considering a dreadnought.

Serial Number NN050001, built during 2009 in New Hartford, Conneticut, USA.

Neck Mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard, V-block mother of pearl and abalone position markers. 25.625 inch scale length, 1.69 inch nut width, 12 inch fingerboard radius. Dual-action truss rod.
Frets Original frets with no appreciable wear.
Body Full dreadnought size, with 30-inch radius AAA spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. Scalloped red spruce bracing. Ebony bridge, multiple layer binding on top and back, and checkerboard insert on the back seam. Abalone inlaid rosette, faux tortoise pickguard.
Finish Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish in very good shape, with just a couple of very small marks.
Hardware/electronics Gold Gotoh open gears, in the ‘waverly butterbean’ style. Tusq saddle,
Playability/Action Plays very well as is and there’s lots of room to move the action around as desired.
Case Original archtop hardshell case included.
