very first version … of the venerable Les Paul Model!!! Here is a well played but original example direct
from the original owner, complete with the original trapeze tailpiece/bridge, P-90 pickups (EXCELLENT
sounding examples!!!), 5/8″ numbered barrel knobs, no-line Kluson tuners and original Gold Top finish!!!
Neck:… 1 11/16″ wide nut; bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard; trapezoid markers; adjustable truss
rod; original no-line Kluson tuners (high E tuner is replacement from late ’60s/early ’70s); some dings on
back of neck under the 1st to 4th fret area
Frets:… original frets have heavy wear
Body:… one piece tropical mahogany body with carved maple cap; 9.1 pounds overall guitar weight; some
wear (see detail photos)
Finish:… original Gold Top finish with lots of wear and checking
Hardware/electronics:… original with exception of changed high E tuner and output jack! original plastic
output jack plate chipped but functioning
Playability/Action:… plays surprisingly well considering the fret wear; would need refret to play optimum
Case:… original case is in very good 8/10 condition! original strap in case!
