Ibanez GB-10 George Benson 1979 (Consignment) No Longer Available

Comments The Ibanez GB-10 George Benson model was a hit from the moment it was introduced. It’s an excellent design and very well built, serves its purpose admirably, and no wonder Ibanez has continued its production. Comes with non original black archtop case.
Pricing $1600.00
Serial Number F794942
Neck Three Piece curly maple neck with bound ebony board; block mother of pearl markers with abalone parallelogram inserts. 24.75? (626mm) scale length and 43mm (1.692?) nut width. 305mm (12?) fingerboard radius. Finish wear on the back of the neck behind the 3rd to 6th frets. Some wear on the fret board.
Body The George Benson GB10 body is built with a arched spruce top, an arched
maple back, and maple sides. There are two substantial braces running the length of the top. Pickups are not mounted to the top. The top is fairly thick for feedback rejection; this guitar is designed and built to be played live and loud.
Finish Sunburst finish with some wear and tear marks, the finish is delaminating around the neck heel.
Hardware/electronics Two humbucking pickups, floating free of the top. The neck pickup attaches to the neck and the pickguard, while the bridge pickup attaches only to the pickguard. The pickup leads enter the guitar body via the treble F-hole; individual volume and tone controls, and the pickup selector, are mounted on the top. The output jack is on the lower side. Gold Gotoh tuners with faux pearl buttons. The tailpiece allows tension adjustment for treble and bass strings. The Gold plating is slightly worn off the edges of the pickups and parts of the tail piece.
