Comments | I just love the body shape of these Rickenbacker basses, “they scream notice me!!!” but they are also very comfortable to play.
The 4001 bass has been used over the years by many players; from Chris Squire of Yes, to Geddy Lee for Rush, to Paul McCartney, who played for an obscure band known as ‘The Beatles’; to Prakash John of Mandala, Bush, Alice Cooper, Parliament/Funkadelic and The Lincolns; and of course, to Ian Kilmister, generally known as “Lemmy”, for Hawkwind and Motorhead (see his bio movie if you haven’t. If you have, see it again). This example is in great shape with only minor cosmetic wear! The single coil horseshoe pickups have some cut to go along with a fat punchy sound and the neck feels great in your hands. This is one cool bass!! Comes with a black rectangular hardshell case. |
