Introduced in 1931 as the top of the line, the Epiphone DeLuxe archtop features a carved solid spruce top and carved figured maple back and figured maple sides. In 1935, the body width settled at 17 inches. At the time, the Epiphone DeLuxe was one of the loudest archtops available – essential when playing unamplified with a horn section.
