This post-lawsuit Les Paul style guitar (Gibson’s suit was over Ibanez’s use of the ‘open-book’ headstock shape, and so Ibanez moved to another shape, based on the Guild headstock) is made in Japan and is a great way to get a Les Paul style guitar for a great price! The Gretsch 6125 Anniversary model is structurally very similar to the 6120. This particular example has a few oddities: the body has trestle bracing, and the label clearly states that it’s a 6121 – but the 6121 is a quite different guitar! While not fully original, this is a very functional piece that’s ready to gig or record.
