❌SOLD❌ 2009 Traynor Custom Valve 50 Blue Combo Amplifier

Brand:

For many Canadian musicians, Traynor amplifiers and PA gear dominated the sonic landscape from the 1960’s. They sound great, are reliable, affordable and straightforward to repair. And, they are designed and built in Canada.

One of the legendary stories of early Traynor quality testing involved Peter Traynor tossing amps off the roof of the shop, replacing broken tubes and making sure the amps still worked. After all, gravity is an unavoidable fact, things will fall, and in the Canadian touring landscape on-the-spot amp repair can be hard to find.

Here’s a Traynor Custom Valve 50 Blue, built around May 2009. This is a 50 watt, two channel tube amp using EL34 and 12AX7A tubes, with a single 12-inch Celestion speaker and blue tolex covering. The cabinet is solidly built, as has always been the case. These are great combo amps, providing enough power to be heard but not with overwhelming weight or size. This amp is in good condition, with some wear and could be cleaned up. The handle cover is ripping, and could be fairly easily replaced.
