Here is a lovely GW Barry OM style guitar from 2007 featuring a Bearclaw-figured Sitka Spruce top and Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. GW Barry has been building for decades, including some time working in Jean Larrivee’s shops in Vancouver and Victoria, BC. His work is top notch, in terms of construction and tonal output.

This GW Barry Concert LH Left Handed features a Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top paired with a lovely Brazilian Rosewood set for the sides, back and head plate. This guitar was built during 2017 at GW Barry’s shop in Toronto, Canada. High quality, high end and hand built Left Handed guitars are not very common, so it is a treat to see this fantastic piece from Toronto luthier G W Barry. Barry has been building for over 35 years, including a five year working apprenticeship with Jean Larrivee.

The G W Barry M Body guitar is a very successful and versatile design based on the classic OM introduced by Martin, with a long scale neck on a 000 sized body. G W Barry has been building for decades starting with years for Jean Larrivee, and his skill at not only building but also voicing is evident in this 23-year old M body cutaway model. This particular guitar was recently rebuilt by Barry, with work including a neck reset with fret dress and a neck-off refinish of the top that included a repair to a top crack.

G W Barry has been building fine steel strings for some time, and this M-body cutaway dates to 1995 at his shop in Toronto. Built with a Sitka Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back sides and headplate, with mahogany for the neck and ebony for the fingerboard and bridge, maple binding and an abalone rosette, this guitar is in very nice condition.

(Pre-Sold) G W Barry Mod C CW Malaysian Blackwood with Arm Rest, 2019

The G W Barry Mod C CW is a variation on G.W. Barry’s Concert Model. It has the same body depth and outline but with a quarter inch removed from the entire perimeter — effectively making it a guitar with a 15 1/2 inch wide lower bout. This creates a very comfortable body size, closer to a traditional OM, with a well balanced tone that retains strong bottom end fundamentals.
