❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Standard Left Handed Black, 1986

Here we have a Gibson Les Paul Standard Left Handed model, in gloss black! Dating to 1986, this example is in overall good condition with a few bumps. Production of left handed Gibson Les Paul models has never been extensive, but does date back to the late 1950’s. There are at least three known, surviving left handed Les Paul Standards built between 1958 and 1960, which indicates how few were really made.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Custom Black, 1974

First appearing in 1953, the Gibson Les Paul Custom began as an upmarket version of Gibson’s new solidbody, with a solid Mahogany cap instead of Maple and P90 pickups and a dramatic black finish. Here we’re looking at a Gibson Les Paul Custom in Black, built likely during 1974 at the Gibson plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan. At this point, Gibson was well into planning their move to Nashville, but the new plant was not ready until 1984.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-335TD Thinline Electric Guitar Walnut, 1975

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-335TD Thinline Electric Guitar Walnut, 1975

The Gibson ES-335TD was an immediate hit at its 1958 introduction as a thinline, two pickup, double cutaway archtop electric. It addressed many of the needs professional guitarists had dealing with ever-increasing stage volumes while retaining the classic archtop tone profile. Over the years, the specs have changed somewhat, but the model has remained in constant production and has been seen and heard on countless stages and studios.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-335 TDC Dot Neck Thinline Cherry, 1961

Introduced in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 was one of the most significant guitar innovations and examples like this 1961 dot neck model are rare. Aimed at jazz players needing to play on ever-louder stages, the ES-335 had to provide arch-top tonality with feedback resistance. This wonderful example dates to 1961 and was built at the historic Kalamazoo, Michigan Gibson plant. It is a TDC model – Thin body, Dual pickup, Cherry finish.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-335 Thinline Archtop Electric Black, 1988

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-335 Thinline Archtop Electric Black, 1988

This black Gibson ES-335, built at the Gibson Nashville plant and dating to August 18th, 1988 is in original condition, and plays well. The top’s finish shows some consistent lacquer checking, visible in the highlit top photograph. The back, sides and neck don’t show this nearly as much. Otherwise, the finish is in good shape with the minor scuffs expected on a 20 year old instrument. The components, including the stop tailpiece and Grover Rotomatic tuners, are original and the nickel plating is showing some natural oxidation, but little actual wear. Fretwear is light.

The Alhambra 10FP Carlos Pinana Flamenco Negra guitar, a recent model from Alhambra guitars in the eastern part of Spain.  Many contemporary Flamenco players find they need a guitar that offers a fuller and rounder bass response, as well as the traditional treble-clarity and power one expects in a traditional Flamenco guitar. To this end we have seen an increasing number of Flamenco Guitars built with dark coloured Rosewood back and sides, commonly called Flamenco Negra guitars.
