Here’s a very nice Eastman 815V mandolin. This is the ‘Vintage’ version of the popular 815 F-style model, and is often considered the best-sounding Eastman Mandolin.

MORE →Part of the Traditional Series of guitars from Eastman the E10-SS slope shouldered dreadnought is an excellent tribute to the iconic guitars from the 30’s and 40’s! Inspired by great flat top guitars from the Golden Era of guitar making such as the Gibson J-45, it features an Adirondack spruce top which provides plenty of punch and crisp note fundamentals to complement the warm and sweet midrange of the mahogany back and sides. Top it off with a lovely looking vintage style tobacco burst and you have a guitar that sports a classic look and sound!!
Eastman makes a range of solid, well built and great sounding mandolins and here’s an example of the 615 “F-Style” with a built-in Schertler low-impedance (380 ohms) pickup. It’s ready to plug into a microphone channel on a mixer and compete with the loudest of banjo players or drummers!
