❌SOLD❌ Epiphone Riviera Style E360TDC Thinline Archtop Cherry, 1969

❌SOLD❌ Epiphone Riviera Style E360TDC Thinline Archtop Cherry, 1969

Introduced in 1962, the Epiphone Riviera followed the new Gibson Thinline design of thin archtop with a center block. The Riviera was a relatively plain model, with two small humbuckers and a Frequensator split trapeze or Vibrola tailpiece. It was built until 1970, when the Norlin management shifted Epiphone production to Japan. The full designation for the model is Epiphone Style E360 Riviera, and in this case it is an E360TDC for Thin, Dual Pickup, Cherry finish.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Firebird V Through-Neck Electric Red, 1981

Its serial number points to production on February 23rd, 1981 at the Kalamazoo plant, and it features an unusual Red finish and Gold plated hardware. It has been refretted – necessary because it’s also been played as intended – but otherwise is in original condition. The refret was well done, and uses fairly large wire.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson SJ-200 Standard Steel String Guitar Sunburst, 2015

In 1938, the price was a whopping $200, and as an option, you could have your name inlaid on the fingerboard for $50! It went straight to stages and studios, and has been there since. The SJ-200 has appeared on countless recordings, not just Country – both Pete Townsend and Jimmy Page relied on it.

❌ SOLD ❌ Ibanez George Benson GB10 BS Sunburst Thinline Archtop Guitar, 1983

❌ SOLD ❌ Ibanez George Benson GB10 BS Sunburst Thinline Archtop Guitar, 1983

In the 1980s, the great Jazz guitarist George Benson entered into a collaboration with Ibanez to produce a series of signature archtop electric guitars, including the Ibanez George Benson GB10 BS and its fancier sisters. These guitars were immediately popular with other jazz players, because the design addresses real needs. The body is comfortably compact, and while its hollow, F-hole body design provides real archtop resonance, responsiveness and ‘thump’, the solid spruce top is carved to dramatically reduce feedback at performance volumes.
