The Ibanez GB-10 George Benson BS (for Brown Sunburst) is still in production as are other versions of the model, and they are as practical as when introduced. This model features two ‘floating’ mini-humbucking pickups, one attached to the fingerboard tag and the other to the pickguard. Neither contacts the top though the pickguard has a small support post. The Ibanez GB-10 George Benson has been in production since 1977 along with other versions of the model, and they are as practical as when introduced.
Ibanez
Shown here is an Ibanez Musician MC100 solidbody, bolt-on electric built during 1978 and 1979 by Fuji-Gen in Nagoya, Japan. The Musician models were original design and very high-quality instruments and marked Ibanez’ move away from relying on copying other designs.
Here we’re looking at an Ibanez AZ2402 in Pearl White Flat (PWF) finish with Roasted Maple neck, built during 2022 and in excellent condition. The AZ Prestige line of guitars from Ibanez has proven to be a hit with their high-end features, excellent craftsmanship and blend of classic and modern styles.

MORE →Here we have an Ibanez 2461 Johnny Smith style, full body cutaway archtop, built in Japan likely during 1975. The model was built until 1977. Typical of the early 1975 period, it has no serial number – these started appearing on the back of the headstock late 1975. It is largely original, though it has a slight modification – the output jack was a mini-plug mounted on the pickguard, and this was removed and a standard 1/4 inch jack installed to the lower treble side.
