No Longer Avaliable Hofner New President Vintage Archtop Electric Varnish Burst, 2005

The Hofner New President Vintage is a full 16 inch body archtop guitar with one ‘Diamond’ pickup at the neck. It features a carved German spruce top, laminate flamed maple for the sides and arched back, European flamed maple for the neck, with ebony for the fingerboard, headplate, truss rod cover bridge, tailpiece and pickguard. This model was also known as the P55 in the US market.

Framus Diablo Supreme Natural, 2010 (No Longer Available)

This is a Framus Diablo Supreme in Satin natural finish, built during 2010 in the Warwick shops at Markneukirchen Bavaria. Though the designation didn’t exist when this example was built, Framus soon after identified these guitars as Masterbuilt. This guitar is in very good, clean condition and features an AAA-grade book matched Maple cap on a Mahogany body and a Mahogany neck with Indian Rosewood fingerboard.

Part of a now-discontinued special series, the Hofner Gold Label Berlin Violin Bass is the top of the line for these iconic instruments. The Hofner Gold Label basses were signed by master builder Thomas Stuhlein at the Hofner shop in Hagenau, Bavaria. The sealed – body construction is Maple laminate for the top, sides and back.

Hans Raab Munich Style Guitar Maple, 1916

Here we have a Hans Raab Munich Style Guitar built of Spruce, Maple and Ebony during 1916 in Munich, Germany – during WWI. Hans Raab and his son built many instruments in a wide range of styles, from the mid 1880’s to World War II. They were well known for not just the number of instruments built and their variety – their catalog was apparently quite large – but also for the quality of their work.

Built in Germany during 2014, this is a Hofner 500/1 Vintage ’62 Reissue version, sometimes named the ‘Mersey bass’. It’s very close in design to the 1963 version used by Paul McCartney on more than a few successful recordings and appearances. The Hofner 500-1 violin bass is one of the world’s most recognizable basses.
