Sold! Fender Duo Sonic II 24 Inch Scale Solidbody Electric White, 1966

Appearing in 1956 as a student model, the Fender Duo Sonic was a step up from its stable mate, the single pickup MusicMaster. These were short-scale guitars, sometimes called “3/4 size”, in scale lengths of 22.5 or 24 inches. In 1964, the model was revised as the Duo Sonic II, with strong references to the new-ish Mustang, but without the trem bridge. The Fender Mustang won out in the end, and the Duo Sonic went out of production in 1968.

The Fender American Standard Telecaster updates the venerable, ultra reliable Tele design with modern concepts – Miro Tilt, Locking Tuners with staggered posts, six saddle bridge and comfort contour. ❌ Sold❌ Gibson “The SG” Walnut Solidbody Electric, 1979

❌ Sold❌ Gibson "The SG" Walnut Solidbody Electric, 1979

Appearing only in 1970, the Gibson “The SG” was built much like an SG Standard, but using Walnut in place of Mahogany. In 1980 it was relaunched as the SG Firebrand. The primary difference between this model and the Firebrand is the way the Gibson logo was applied. Here, it is a gold-coloured decal, and on the Firebrand, it is branded into the headstock.Walnut was regularly used as a tonewood in stringed instruments until the 1930s, and was very commonly found in banjos.

Sold! C. F. Martin 00-42SC John Mayer ‘Stagecoach’ Guitar, 2016

Sold! C. F. Martin 00-42SC John Mayer 'Stagecoach' Guitar, 2016

Here’s an interesting instrument – From C F Martin, the 00-42SC John Mayer model, which replicates a Stagecoach or early Travel Guitar! This spectacular instrument combines a 00 size body with Sitka Spruce and Cocobolo, and adds ’42’ series inlays and appointments. A 12-fret neck and slotted peghead are used to keep the dimensions down, keeping in mind that the SC designates that these originally were designed to be used as entertainment on stagecoach journeys (or perhaps ordeals).

Deering Vega Senator Banjo

The Vega Senator banjo is the perfect “crossover” and parlor banjo. It is a light-weight, classic open back banjo, with a warm, woody tone with a lightweight tone ring that adds just enough punch and high-end clarity to play bluegrass with your buddies but warm, fat and woody enough to play in your parlor as a classic clawhammer or fingerstyle solo instrument.
