Introduced in 1949 and discontinued in 2019, the Gibson ES-175 was for decades the standard instrument for electric jazz guitarists. The Gibson ES-175 followed the construction pattern established through years of experience in the developing electric guitar field using laminate Maple top, back and sides for feedback rejection.

During 2011, the Gibson ES-335S Reissue brought back the 1980 -1982 ES-335S Standard, one of three models offered between 1980 and 1982, the other two being the Deluxe and Custom. The original Standard and Custom fell out of the catalogs in 1982, and the Deluxe in 1982.

Introduced in 1976, the Music Man Stingray bass quickly established itself as an alternative to the dominant Fender basses – partly due to one of its key designers being Leo Fender himself! Music Man was formed in 1974, having first been named Tri-Sonix in 1971 and then MusiTek. It was a partnership between electronics designer Tom Walker and former Fender executive Forrest White with Leo Fender as a silent partner – until 1975, Leo was still bound to a non-compete clause in his sale of Fender to CBS.

Here we have a very clean Fender 75th Anniversary Commemorative Stratocaster with Maple Fingerboard and 2-Color Bourbon Burst, dating to May 2021. For the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Fender company, a line of commemorative instruments were offered, including this very nice Bourbon Burst Stratocaster. It is in very good, clean condition with no appreciable wear. Sold with its original hard shell case.
