❌ SOLD ❌ Gibson SG Custom Natural Mahogany, 1974

The Gibson SG Custom appeared in 1963, though originally as the new, slim double cutaway 1961 Les Paul. By 1963, Les Paul’s endorsement with Gibson had ended, so his name was removed. Featuring the now-familiar solid mahogany body, the SG Custom differs from ‘lesser’ SG models with bound neck and headstock, ebony fingerboard with Mother of Pearl block inlays, gold hardware, either a Vibrola or Stop tailpiece, and often three pickups.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Country Western Model Steel String Guitar, 1957

The Gibson Country Western Model made its debut in 1956 as a miracle of rebranding – it is the classic Gibson SJ-N, Southern Jumbo Natural, with a new label! Until 1964, this model – like other Gibson dreadnoughts – was a round shoulder design. At that point, it’s likely that market pressures like the popularity of the Martin style changed the shape to square shoulders.

❌NO LONGER AVAILABLE❌ Gibson ES-330 TD Thinline Archtop Guitar Sunburst, 1963

Built at the Kalamazoo, Michigan plant during 1963, this Gibson ES-330 TD is in overall good, complete and original condition. It has been played and used as intended so the finish has some minor wear and lovely natural checking, with moderate to heavy fret wear in some positions. Overall it’s in good shape with wear in the expected areas; it has not been abused or neglected though it’s definitely seen use.   It is currently strung with flat wounds.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson J-45 Slope Shoulder Dreadnought Guitar Sunburst, 1962

❌SOLD❌ Gibson J-45 Slope Shoulder Dreadnought Guitar Sunburst, 1962

This Gibson J-45 Slope Shoulder Dreadnought Guitar Sunburst is in clean condition and plays quite well. It appears to have been recently refretted, which included cleaning up the rosewood fingerboard. There are a few minor spot touch ups on the neck to fill dents. These were done competently and probably at the same time as the refret. There is also a colour touchp on the top at the lower treble bout edge, a bit of fill on a finger wear area between the pickguard edge and the bridge, and a touchup of some pick marks below the bass side soundhole.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Byrdland Thinline Archtop with Venetian Cutaway Sunburst, 1975

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Byrdland Thinline Archtop with Venetian Cutaway Sunburst, 1975

This Gibson Byrdland dates to 1974 and was built at the Gibson Nashville plant, and carries the Venetian cutaway. It is in overall good condition though the original case and pickguard are gone. This guitar has been used as intended, so it has some wear, dings and dents. The finish has some natural checking, and fingernail marks around the treble volume control. The frets are fairly low but still playable. The electronics and hardware other than the volume / tone knobs are original. The tuners are gold-plated Grover Imperials with metal tulip shaped buttons, and of course the engraved Byrdland tailpiece is there.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-339 Thinline Custom Shop Cherry, 2008

The Gibson ES-339 was a hit from its introduction in 2007 using the concept and classic lines of the ES-335, but with a scaled down body. All of the other features line up between the two models – the scale lengths, neck sizes and hardware are the same. The build quality is identical, with Maple laminates for the body, Mahogany for the neck and a Rosewood fingerboard. The headstock logos and position markers are Mother of Pearl.
