Discontinued Beard Deco Phonic Sidecar Acoustic Sunburst

Discontinued Beard Deco Phonic Sidecar Acoustic Sunburst

Here’s a treat – a new Paul Beard Deco Phonic Sidecar acoustic, hearkening back to the classic models of the 1930s heard on many blues ragtime and country recordings. The Beard Deco Phonic Sidecar is built on the standard Beard R body, with an Engelmann Spruce top, Finnish Birch Laminate back and sides, Mahogany neck and Morado bridge and fingerboard. Morado is a non-CITES listed substitute for Brazilian Rosewood, sometimes known as Pau Ferro.

The Danelectro 59 12 String D5912 recreates a classic 12. Originally successful in its orientation as a decent budget instrument, these new models at least as good. Based closely on the original double cutaway ‘Shorthorn’ two pickup models, the new Danelectro 59 12 String D5912 features the same ‘Masonite’ and hardwood body construction with a Maple neck and Pau Ferro fingerboard.

❌SOLD❌ Fender SRV Signature Stratocaster Sunburst, 1993

Here we’re looking at a Fender SRV Signature Series Stratocaster, built during 1993 at the Fender plant in Corona, California. Like Number One, it uses an Alder body paired with a Maple neck and a “slab” board fingerboard – however, the fingerboard is apparently Pau Ferro, not Rosewood. In 1963, Fender had not quite worked out how to wrap a thin layer of Rosewood over a curved neck on a production line basis, so a flat board was installed and the top received the crown. And, in 1963, the fingerboard would have been Brazilian Rosewood.

The Fender American Special Jazz Bass appeared during 2011, and features an Alder body with Maple neck, Pau Ferro fingerboard, and Vintage Alnico pickups. Very similar to the American Standard series, the American Special most visibly features the Greasebucket tone circuit, which rolls off highs while maintaining low-end definition.Fender introduced the Jazz Bass during 1960, and offered a much narrower neck than the wildly successful Precision Bass, and a pair of single coil pickups, with two pole pieces per string.

The Melancon Pro Artist T is built by Gerard Melancon, who works out of Thibodaux, Louisiana and combines the elements of a Tele and a Strat, ‘Like a 57 Chevy with power steering and power brakes!’ Melancon grew up with lots of great Cajun and country music both in his family and in the surrounding area, gigged with a number of rock bands and played sessions before gradually shifting to guitar building. He now builds many custom, high quality electric guitars with excellent finishes.
