Designed in collaboration with Mike Dowling, the National Mike Dowling Signature El Trovador is a single cone guitar patterned after the famous National El Trovador between 1932 and 1933. The National Mike Dowling El Trovador guitar features a large, 4 inch deep body built from mahogany laminate with a wooden soundwell for the resonator.

Martin D12-35 12 Fret Round Shoulder Dreadnought, 1975 (No Longer Available)

Introduced in 1965, and no longer in production, the Martin D12-35 12-fret was the 12-string version of the classic Martin D35, visually notable for its three section Rosewood back. This Martin D12-35 example dates to 1975 and pairs a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood for the sides, three-piece back, bridge plate, and thin headstock veneer.

The body is built with Mahogany laminate for the top, and Walnut for the back, sides and 12-fret neck. Some models used laminate Spruce for the top, but this one is laminate Mahogany.

The National Tricone is based on the very first resophonic guitars invented in 1927 by George Beauchamp and built by luthier John Dopyera – with the spun cones and metal bodies made by Adolf Richenbacher.
