❌SOLD❌ Taylor 615 Jumbo Maple Steel String Guitar Natural, 1995

❌SOLD❌ Taylor 615 Jumbo Maple Steel String Guitar Natural, 1995

The Taylor 615 jumbo Maple steel string guitar is unabashedly visually related to the most venerable of the Jumbo body acoustics, the Gibson J-200, from the oversize curves to the flame maple back and sides. In the form seen here, with no cutaway, the 615 was built from 1981 to 1998. At that point, it gained a cutaway and pickup and became the 615ce and was finally discontinued in 2011.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Country Western Model Steel String Guitar, 1957

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Country Western Model Steel String Guitar, 1957

The Gibson Country Western Model made its debut in 1956 as a miracle of rebranding – it is the classic Gibson SJ-N, Southern Jumbo Natural, with a new label! Until 1964, this model – like other Gibson dreadnoughts – was a round shoulder design. At that point, it’s likely that market pressures like the popularity of the Martin style changed the shape to square shoulders.

❌Sold❌ National Style 1.5 Tricone Resophonic Guitar Nickel, 2004

❌Sold❌ National Style 1.5 Tricone Resophonic Guitar Nickel, 2004

This example of the National Style 1.5 Tricone Resophonic is dated 09-04 (September 2004) and is in overall good condition. The body is brass with nickel plating and a double-line engraving around the edge (the nickel plating presents a few challenges to capturing an image).   Nickel has a tendency to lightly tarnish over time; this is one of the reasons many shifted to Chrome as a longer lasting plating material.

❌ SOLD ❌ National Resophonic Style O Nickel Plate, 2015

The National Resophonic Style O – yes it’s a letter O, not a zero – goes back to the designs of the 1920s and early salvoes in the Guitar Volume Wars. This 12-fret neck example, dating to March 2015 and built at the National plant in San Luis Obispo, California, blends features of the Style O and Style O Deluxe, particularly in the choice of Mother of Pearl diamond shape position markers. It is in pristine condition with the original hard shell case.

❌SOLD❌ C. F. Martin D-28 Authentic 1937, 2014

❌SOLD❌ C. F. Martin D-28 Authentic 1937, 2014

The C. F. Martin D-28 Authentic 1937 is a re-creation of an iconic instrument, the pre-WW2 Martin D-28. Production of these guitars was disrupted by the onset of war, and changes in supply chains rippled through post war production. This example was built during 2014 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania pairing an Adirondack Spruce top with Madagascar Rosewood for the back, sides and headplate, Mahogany for the neck, and Ebony for the bridge and unbound fingerboard.
