❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-335TD Thinline Archtop with Coil Tap Natural, 1979

The Gibson ES-335TD – Two pickup, Double cutaway – was a hit from its appearance in the late 1950. In one stroke it combined the best of solidbody and archtop guitars in a classy package. There have been a number of minor variations on the model since then. Here, we are looking at a Gibson ES335TD in gloss natural finish and all original condition except for one strap pin. It was built at the Gibson Kalamazoo plant and the serial dates it to July 6th, 1979.

❌ SOLD ❌ Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster ‘Blackie’, 2017

❌ SOLD ❌ Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster 'Blackie', 2017

The Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster is based on ‘Blackie’, the 1950s Stratocaster used by Clapton for a lot of his post-Cream work. That particular guitar is put together from a 1956 body and 1957 neck, with some 50’s pickups and one 1970’s. The Blackie version body is Alder with a gloss black urethane finish, and the neck is a quite comfortable 1957 style soft V shape. The frets are thankfully a somewhat taller Vintage style. For electronics, a set of Vintage Noiseless single coil strat pickups is used.

❌ SOLD ❌ Ludwig Ambassador Tenor Banjo Walnut, 1926

The Ludwig Ambassador tenor banjo is an example of a business recognizing opportunity. The Ludwig Drum Company started in 1909 and by the early 1920’s realized that banjos are closely related to drums, and offered a range of models. However, by the early 1930’s as banjos started to wane, Ludwig moved back to its core business – and is still a respected name in drum manufacturing.

❌SOLD❌ Fender Stratocaster Natural Finish, 1972

For most of the time since its 1954 introduction, the Fender Stratocaster has been very popular and has been available in a myriad of colours, though natural has not always been one of them. The first versions were often sunburst or translucent white, but automotive based colour schemes followed quickly.
