This is a new Beard R Model squareneck resophonic custom built for us, an Export model in flame maple and with the Jerry Douglas pickup factory installed.
The Beard R Model custom is based on the classic resophonic guitars of the 1930’s. It uses an open soundwell design on a tighter-waisted body (compared to the dreadnought-based Beard E model) and the flame maple version features outstanding wood sets. The R Models feature Paul Beard’s triple spun Legend cone and an Original #14 spider.
This is an Export model, meaning that it contains no CITES restricted woods. Shipping anywhere is not a problem, with no special documentation required.
The Beard R Model is a traditionally- based instrument with modern improvements that deliver a perfectly balanced, full-bodied sound. The wood selection yields a clean, sweet tone with clear, crisp treble, and a full, rich, warm bass. These instruments are equally well suited for contemporary and traditional playing styles.
This guitar comes in a black arched top hard shell case by TKL.
