The Twelfth Fret ~ Since 1977 ~

❌SOLD❌ Larrivee OM09 Sitka and Rosewood Natural, 1994

Instrument Categories: , , ,

The Larrivee OM09 was built in Victoria, BC during 1994 and features a Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood for the sides and back. The body blocks and neck are Mahogany, while the head plate, bridge and bound fingerboard are Ebony. The tuners are Schaller M6 models and there are no installed electronics.

The Larrivee OM09 is based on the classic Orchestra Model guitars that first appeared in the opening days of the 1930’s as banjo players migrated to guitar but found they needed access to more frets. These models provide a well-balanced tonal representation throughout the harmonic range with plenty of volume, making them ideal for fingerstyles or strumming.

This 1994 Larrivee OM09 is in overall good condition with light play wear, and a few small dents acquired over the last almost three decades. It has definitely been played, as there’s a bit of finish wear where the player’s arm rested on the lower bass bout. Fret wear is light. The sound is good, with the typical articulation, balance and volume that the OM is known and valued for.

The original hard shell case is included.
