❌SOLD❌ Hamer Prototype Double Cut Solidbody Red, 1981

Built from 1981 to 1985, the Hamer Prototype was unique for its time and introduced a number of concepts that are now commonplace on production guitars, and not just on custom builds. Paul Hamer and Jol Dantzig opened Hamer Guitars in Willamette, Illinois in 1973 and began building custom designs based on Explorer and Flying V body shapes, with wild finishes and unusual hardware combinations.

❌SOLD❌ Fender American Standard Precision Bass Black, 2015

❌SOLD❌ Fender American Standard Precision Bass Black, 2015

The Fender American Standard Precision Bass is the current ‘Standard’ model of the bass whose 1951 introduction changed the way music is presented, performed and recorded.
At the time Leo Fender introduced a bass to match the quickly-accepted Telecaster and Esquire models, bass parts were normally played on acoustic, upright basses. For all of their great points, there are a number of limitations to the upright bass; it’s big, fairly heavy, with a limited amount of volume.

Eastman ER2 El Rey Thinline Archtop Red, 2006

The Eastman ER2 El Rey is designed to produce a full archtop sound from a smaller, much lighter body – it is only 14 inches across, a bit bigger than a Gibson Les Paul. Otherwise it has a relatively typical archtop construction – solid, hand carved spruce top, solid and hand carved flame maple back, solid flame maple sides and neck, and ebony for the fingerboard, bridge base, and tailpiece cover.

Rickard Brass Spunover Dobson 12 Inch Banjo, 2019

We’ve received a new Brass Spunover Dobson 12-inch, open back banjo from Rickard Banjos in Aurora, just north of Toronto, and it’s a real peach,  as Rickard products tend to be.  Bill Rickard has been developing his line of banjos and banjo components for several years and his output is impressive. This Brass Spunover Dobson Ring open back 5-string banjo is a great example of the quality of his work.
