Paul Beard has just released the first of the new Tut Taylor models, with the blessing of Tut’s family.
Tut Taylor was an extremely influential bluegrass musician, and appeared on many stages and recordings, including his own Grammy award winning work with Jerry Douglas. Tut Taylor died on April 9, 2015.
The Paul Beard Tut Taylor™ Model 27 is a faithful reproduction of the classic pre-war resophonic squareneck design and is hand crafted with reverence to the first classic era of the resonator guitar. All of details in The Tut Taylor™ Model 27, from its vintage style neck and slotted peghead to the unique parallelogram soundwell and “R” body shape, harken back to a different time.
