SOLD Taylor 512ce Cedar Top Grand Concert Steel String

Brand:

Instrument Categories: , ,

The Taylor 512ce is a dream guitar for the fingerstyle player. The small grand concert body shape provides a very compact and comfortable playing experience and requires less energy to get the top moving. This allows players with a light touch to get a full sound from a smaller body.

The Western Red Cedar top of the Taylor 512ce has lovely touch sensitivity and a warm midrange.  Red Cedar is used extensively on higher end classical guitars, as its voice develops faster than Spruce and is very responsive. The addition of the new V class bracing system delivers more headroom and sustain as well as a surprising amount of volume for a small body guitar. Tropical mahogany used for the neck, sides, back and body blocks slightly pushes the midrange warmth and pairs very well with the red cedar top and smaller body.   The fingerboard and bridge are West African Crelicam Ebony  harvested by Taylor and their partners.   The subtle, traditionally inspired ‘century’ fretboard and headstock inlay set adds a lovely aesthetic touch to this beautiful sounding guitar!

To round out the guitar, the Taylor 512ce has the on board ES pickup system is ready for the stage.

The original Taylor hard shell case is included.
