Following in the steps of jumbo bodied 12-strings, the Taylor 655ce 12-String cutaway electric features a Flame Maple body with a Sitka Spruce top.

Built from 1998 to 2013, the Taylor 655ce 12-string is a cutaway Jumbo bodied instrument, reflecting classic models like the Guild F-512. To maintain crispness, clarity projection and top end the body pairs a Sitka Spruce top with flamed Maple for the sides and back; the body blocks and neck are Mahogany while the bridge, bound fingerboard and bound head plate are Ebony. The top features an Abalone ring in the Rosette, and for electronics a Fishman Onboard Blender system is installed – this was built before Taylor started using their own Expression System.

This early Taylor 655ce 12-string example dates to September 8th 1998, and is in overall good condition with light wear. There are a few small finish scuffs on the back, but fret wear is light and the action is quite good. This guitar was built the year before Taylor introduced their patented neck joint, so this one uses a traditional Dovetail joint.

The original brown Taylor branded hard shell case is included.
