Rickenbacker Model 325C64 JetGlo, 2011 (consignment) SOLD

Based closely on the 1964 model, the Rickenbacker 325C64 brings forth memories from anyone exposed to the ‘British Invasion’ – or the Ed Sullivan show! – in the early and mid 1960’s. Ibanez Model 2471, 1976 No Longer Available

Ibanez Model 2471, 1976 No Longer Available

Ibanez produced a large number of good copies of popular brand guitars, and at their top end were renderings of the ‘Johhny Smith’ archtops. Despite being a close copy, this is not what’s known as a ‘lawsuit’ model. The lawsuit was over Ibanez’ use of the open-book headstock shape, and by this time Ibanez had stopped using that design, opting for this shape which they still use.

This is a really, really nice instrument and is priced far below what it copies. We know of one top local jazz player who has used one of these for years.

Fender Precision Bass, 1978 (consignment) SOLD

Here’s an excellent condition Fender Precision Bass from 1978. The P-Bass is likely the most recorded instrument in history, and its portability and potential for volume is heavily responsible for how music is now presented. It’s been produced without break since 1951 and has remained a standard throughout.
