This Bruce West Cutaway Classical guitar, bearing the serial 16-1 and built during 2016 in Sterling, Ontario features a hundred year old Swiss Alpine Spruce top and Brazilian Rosewood sides and back. Like Bruce’s other guitars, this tie into an interesting and pivotal period of Canadian luthiery history.

This Larrivee L-09 MR is the first of five guitars custom built during 2007 for the 30th Anniversary of The Twelfth Fret. Starting with a standard L-09 model, the sides and back are Madagascar Rosewood and the top is Sitka Spruce, bound with Maple. As typical for Larrivee models, the body blocks, linings and neck are Mahogany while the bridge and Ivoroid bound fingerboard are Ebony.

MORE →This de Jonge Standard Spruce and Sapele Steel String guitar with natural French Polish finish is dated to 2021. A lovely, new older stock de Jonge Standard steel string features a Sitka Spruce top with with Sapele (Entandrophragma cylindricum) for the rosette, sides, back and head plate.
Built from 1902 to 1934, the Gibson F-4 Oval Hole F-Style mandolin was the top of the line until 1922 when Lloyd Loar introduced the F-hole F-5 model. Both models were then built until 1943, when WW2 interrupted production. The Gibson F-4 and F-5 paired an Adirondack Spruce top with a carved figured Maple back.
