❌SOLD❌ Melancon Pro Artist T Trans White, 2007

The Melancon Pro Artist T is built by Gerard Melancon, who works out of Thibodaux, Louisiana and combines the elements of a Tele and a Strat, ‘Like a 57 Chevy with power steering and power brakes!’ Melancon grew up with lots of great Cajun and country music both in his family and in the surrounding area, gigged with a number of rock bands and played sessions before gradually shifting to guitar building. He now builds many custom, high quality electric guitars with excellent finishes.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois due to that city’s central location for manufacturing and distribution, Valco was the heir to the National and Dobro companies. They made musical instruments and amplifiers for many other companies including catalog giants and Gretsch, until the company’s demise around 1967.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Byrdland Thinline Archtop with Venetian Cutaway Sunburst, 1975

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Byrdland Thinline Archtop with Venetian Cutaway Sunburst, 1975

This Gibson Byrdland dates to 1974 and was built at the Gibson Nashville plant, and carries the Venetian cutaway. It is in overall good condition though the original case and pickguard are gone. This guitar has been used as intended, so it has some wear, dings and dents. The finish has some natural checking, and fingernail marks around the treble volume control. The frets are fairly low but still playable. The electronics and hardware other than the volume / tone knobs are original. The tuners are gold-plated Grover Imperials with metal tulip shaped buttons, and of course the engraved Byrdland tailpiece is there.
