The Taylor Academy A12E is part of the company’s new Academy series of guitars, designed to provide beginners to seasoned players a great playing and sounding instrument at an affordable price point. The Taylor Academy A12E is a compact grand concert sized body which has a tighter waist and smaller lower bout making it a very approachable and easy to handle body size. It has a solid Sitka spruce top and layered Sapele sides and back.

The Taylor 814ce has been a mainstay of the Taylor line for some years, with a classic Spruce and Rosewood paring on the cutaway Grand Auditorium body. Here we have an older Taylor 814ce, built during 1999 at the Taylor shop in El Cajon, California. It features a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood for the back, sides and headplate, Mahogany for the neck and Ebony for the bridge and bound fingerboard.

he Taylor 522e 14 Fret appeared in 2013, and as Taylor sometimes does, the first examples are special versions. This is number 12 of the first 100 built. Presently, this model is only available with a 12-fret neck.Built using a non-cutaway Grand Concert body style – similar in dimensions and proportions to the Martin 000/OM body size – the Taylor 522e 14 Fret uses Mahogany for the top, back, sides, neck, and body blocks.
