SOLD!!! Guild X-500 Archtop Electric Sunburst, 1960

Here’s a beautiful piece of functional art – from 1960, a Guild X-500 Archtop electric in original condition and very playable! The Guild Guitar company was formed in New York 1951 by jazz guitarist and musical retailer Alfred Dronge and George Mann, ex-Epiphone executive. Most of the staff were also ex-Epiphone employees who did not follow the company from New York to Philadelphia, a move sparked by a four-month strike.

❌SOLD❌ Fender 60th Anniversary Telecaster Blonde, 2011

The Fender 60th Anniversary Telecaster hews closely to the original 1951 design but also brings in meaningful modern improvements. The subtle nature of those improvements gives credit to the genius of Leo Fender’s creation; the most visible changes are a six-saddle bridge, modern staggered-post tuners, micro-tilt RW/RP pickups, medium-high fret wire and a ‘Delta Tone’ no-load tone control circuit.

❌SOLD❌ Martin 0-18 Steel String Guitar Natural, 1965

❌SOLD❌ Martin 0-18 Steel String Guitar Natural, 1965

Introduced in 1898, discontinued in 1996 and reissued in 2017, the Martin 0-18 is one of the oldest, longest produced guitar designs. It hasn’t changed much over the decades. In 1934 the most notable change occurred with the shift to the 14-fret neck, following the lead of the then-recently introduced OM or Orchestra Model. The next change was in 1947 with the use of Rosewood instead of Ebony for the fingerboard and bridge.
