Fender Tele Plus Blue Burst, 1993

Fender Tele Plus Blue Burst, 1993

Produced from 1990 to 1995, the Fender Tele Plus provided a number of alterations popular with pro players, though it didn’t really catch on in the mass market. Taking cues from the 1987 release of the Strat Plus, the Tele Plus featured an Ash body, 22 fret neck, Lace Sensor pickups – a single coil at the neck and a double coil at the bridge, a TBX control and a split switch for the bridge pickup.

Fender Telecaster Maple Neck Sunburst, 1978

Fender Telecaster Maple Neck Sunburst, 1978

Since its introduction as the Broadcaster in 1950 as the world’s first two-pickup, solidbody electric guitar, the Fender Telecaster has gone from strength to strength. It has been used in virtually every musical context that accepts electric instruments, and many musicians have built careers on its use. It’s truly an inspired design. Here we’re looking at a Fender Telecaster Maple Neck in Sunburst finish and largely original condition, built during 1978 in Fullerton, California during the CBS era.

This clean example is in original condition with minimal wear to the finish or gold plating, though there is some wear to the plating where the player normally touched it – the bass end of the bridge and the metal tuner buttons, for example.
