The Godin Multiac Steel is an example of design created to address a practical problem – acoustic feedback at stage volumes. The Multiac series draws from the Gibson Chet Atkins CEC – Cutaway Electric Classical – which allowed Chet to play a nylon string guitar on a full stage without worry of howling feedback. The CEC was followed by steel string versions, but over time they were all removed from production lines.

❌SOLD❌ Larrivee LV-05E Cutaway Mahogany Natural, 2006

Built in 2006, this is a Larrivee LV-05E in very good, clean condition. Part of the Select Series, this model pairs a Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany for the sides, back and neck, with Ebony for the bridge and fingerboard. This model includes a factory stock L R Baggs I-Mix Notch pickup and pre-amp set; power is provided by a standard 9v battery located under the pop-out pre-amp.

In the 1960’s, 12-strings like the Gibson B25-12 were very popular, and the 12 was found on many recordings, in Canada especially Gordon Lightfoot’s. Here we’re looking at a Gibson B25-12 from 1965, with some very practical modifications that make it a practical, gigging 12 string with a great vintage sound.

❌SOLD❌ Guild D-25-CH Dreadnought Cherry, 1977

Built from 1968 to 1999, the Guild D-25 came in several colours, and from 1976, with a Sitka Spruce instead of Mahogany top. Intended as a lower cost yet quality instrument, it quickly gained acceptance in the Bluegrass community. Reflecting this, its name was changed around 1978 to the Bluegrass D-25.

❌SOLD❌ Larrivee C-10 Cutaway Steel String Natural, 1982

Built in Victoria BC during the spring of 1982, this Larrivee C-10 – also known as an L-28 – sports a very nice vintage Seahorse headstock inlay by Wendy Larrivee. The Larrivee C-10 is still in production, though not as elaborate as this vintage example. Its base is a pointed Florentine cutaway L-body with a Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood for the back, sides and head plate.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson J-45 Sunburst, 1955

The Gibson J-45 Slope Shouldered dreadnought, or Jumbo, was introduced in 1942 to replace the J-35, which had been built since 1936. It has remained in production ever since, and its rich warm tones make it a great match with a singer. Its basic finish has from introduction been a Sunburst top with darker stained back, sides and neck.
