❌SOLD❌ Vega Artist Tenor Banjo, 1926

The Vega Artist Tenor banjo was a professional grade instrument made by one of the top – from the turn of the 20th century to the 1930s – American musical instrument producers. However, just about the time the Dopyera Brothers and George Beauchamp started National to produce their new resophonic guitars, the popularity of banjos began to drop, and by the 1930s many banjo players had shifted to guitar.

Deering Sierra Tenor Banjo

Deering Sierra Tenor Banjo

So why is the Deering Sierra Tenor Banjo the most popular tenor banjo in the Deering line? Greg Deering says it best … “No one can buy a better banjo! They could buy a fancier one but not a better one.  Irish Tenor banjos have the shorter 17 fret neck for a brighter, snappier sound. The Sierra 17-fret tenor has our professional -06- bronze tone ring and you get all the most important features that affect the tone and playability at an economical price.
