Taylor 814ce Brazilian Rosewood Grand Auditorium Guitar, 2015

Instrument Categories: ,

Here is an unusual Taylor 814ce Brazilian Rosewood bodied guitar from late 2015!  For many decades, Brazilian Rosewood was regarded as the ultimate material for guitar bodies, delivering a warm, richly complex overtone structure with plenty of power.

Eventually, overharvesting led to embargoes. It’s now rare to see any new guitars built with Brazilian Rosewood, due to heavy restrictions resulting from necessary conservation efforts. Many alternate materials are now being commonly used.

This Taylor 814ce Brazilian guitar uses a CITIES-compliant set of Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides, paired with a Sitka Spruce top. Otherwise it is very similar to a standard Taylor 814ce, which is a very fine instrument.    It has been very lightly used and is in excellent condition with minimal wear.

Sold with the original Taylor hard shell case.
