Deering Deluxe banjos are built around Deering’s famed ’06 (aught six) sand-cast, silicone bronze tone ring. This incredible tone ring is fitted to a red-maple rim and the unique Deering extra heavy flange. Deering’s thick flange contributes to the full and round bass response and added upper fret sustain and string balance that we have come to expect from Deering Banjos.

This 1982 Steinberger L2 Fretless Bass, number 466, is in great condition, with all the parts. As a fretless, it is not a conversion, but a factory fretless model. It has two EMG active pickups and four controls. It uses double ball end strings, and features the breakthrough bridge and tuner tailpiece.

Here’s a very cool 1978 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top with Bigsby installed. Gibson, then owned by Norlin, introduced the Les Paul Deluxe model in 1968. It’s possible that part of the reason for the model was excess stock of Epiphone ‘New Yorker’ mini-humbuckers; it was realized that a modified P-90 cover could hold the mini-humbucker and no major development was needed as there were already Les Paul models, and jigs for making them, using P-90s. The Deluxe was discontinued in 1985.
