This 1987 David Wren Maple 12 String Guitar draws some visual influences from the classic Guild jumbo 12’s, though the modified body shape produces a tigher, more focused and less boomy sound while retaining much of the raw power of the Guild. This was David’s largest model, and he referred to it as the ‘Roundup’.

The Avalon Legacy A10c is a cutaway jumbo guitar resembling earlier Lowden guitars but with an Auditorium body (hence the A designation). Tonally, it’s well balanced with good volume. Physically, it is in good condition with a few small dings.

The Avalon Legacy 10c is a cutaway jumbo guitar closely resembling earlier Lowden guitars, such as the O-32c and L-32c. It features a cedar top with mahogany back and sides and a mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard. Tonally, it’s well balanced with good volume. Physically, it is in good condition with a few small dings.

1997 Lowden O25C Steel String (consignment) SOLD

Lowden guitars have been favoured by both fingerstyle and plectrum players since they became available. The O, or Original model, is a fairly large jumbo design, which produces a suprisingly even, rich sound with lots of articulation and projection.

This 1997 Lowden O25C steel string was built in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland.

Gibson’s Jumbo guitars – the J-200, J-185 – have been popular since the J-200 was introduced in the 1938. There have been many variations, and between 2006 and 2008 the CJ-165 was built at the Gibson plant in Bozeman, Montana, under the watchful supervision of Ren Ferguson.
