Dobro 60D Roundneck, 1971 SOLD

Dobro 60D Roundneck, 1971 SOLD

Here is a cool Dobro 60D Roundneck from 1971. This instrument is not in pristine condition, but could be restored; we’ve decided to leave that for the next owner.

It’s currently set up to work lap-style – with a steel rather than a slide – and in that configuration, it’s quite playable and sounds good!

J.K. Lado Dreadnought, Left Handed, 1975 (consignment)

Here’s a J. K. Lado dreadnaught acoustic from 1975 – left handed!

Joseph Kovacic has operated the Lado guitar company for many years, and before he expanded his workshop in Uxbridge, he worked out of 920 Kingston Road, Toronto. Shortly after he left that location in 1976, The Twelfth Fret opened its doors.

This is a good example of Lado instruments of that period.

Paramount Style A Tenor Banjo, 1935 (consignment)

Here’s a lovely Paramount Style A tenor banjo from around 1935. These were a standard professional instrument at the time; the Style A was the least decorated but was otherwise very similar to the more elaborate – and expensive – models.

This example is in great playing, and mostly original, condition.

William Laskin Classical, 1976 No Longer Available

William Laskin is one of the world’s premiere builders – consistently delivering tonal excellence with incredibly high build quality and spectactular inlay.

This Indian rosewood classical from 1976 has been used as intended – it’s been played, and it’s got a few marks from its experiences. But then, who doesn’t? It plays very well and speaks clearly with a well developed voice.
