Anne Hartman builds banjos and guitars in the Toronto area and is quickly establishing herself as a respected luthier. This is a wonderful example of her work, and is built around a rare, vintage-style component – a nickel-plated brass Dobson-style tone ring (made by Rickard).

Note: Borderline neck set: plays fine in lower positions but action measures 6/64 treble to 8/64 bass side…on the high side with little remaining saddle for adjustment.
Here’s a 1968 Vega Folklore banjo in great condition. Folklore banjos were a very popular, affordable banjo model in the 50’s and 60’s. They aren’t extremely bright and have decent bass.
MORE →Here we have a 1966, CBS-era blackface Tremolux head with the original 2×12 cabinet. The Tremolux was introduced in 1955 as a 15-watt amp with 6V6 tubes, and as a 35-watt amp with 6l6’s was discontinued in summer 1966.
